Supporting people navigating mental health, chronic pain, and life’s more challenging periods

My Main Areas of Focus:

I completed my studies at the University of Otago (New Zealand) in 2019 and have since been working as a Clinical Psychologist on the Central Coast of NSW across a range of private settings. In the past, I deliberately kept my focus broad to develop a wide range of clinical skills. More recently, I’ve begun specialising in the areas I’m most passionate about and where I feel I can make the greatest impact.

Starting my own clinic has been a long-term dream since first studying psychology in 2014. Over the years, but particularly during the pandemic, it became clear that online therapy is not only effective, but also often more accessible and flexible for clients. Nowadays, I aim to provide friendly, compassionate and professional support that’s easy to access and fits seamlessly into people’s lives. I’m also a Board-Approved Supervisor and really enjoy supporting other clinicians in developing their skills and confidence.

Having grown up in a rural community in North Otago (NZ), I’m particularly passionate about improving access to mental health care, especially for people in regional areas, and about building a service that is genuinely helpful and outcomes-focused.

My approach to therapy is grounded in being genuine, patient, and engaged. I take the time to understand each person’s situation and avoid surface-level conversations or one-size-fits-all advice. I aim to offer clear, practical strategies that actually help people move forward.

While professionalism and integrity are central to my work, I’m also relaxed and approachable. I think therapy works best when people feel at ease being themselves - and that often includes a bit of humour and joking around where we can.

My work draws primarily on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Explain Pain models, Schema Therapy, and EMDR, alongside other evidence-based approaches depending on what’s most useful for the person I’m working with.

Outside of work, I play golf regularly, and also enjoy running, training at the gym, and relaxing at the beach. On holidays, I love hiking, landscape photography, and being outdoors.
